At uConnected, we understand our members need for flexibility in managing their caller ID visibility to protect their privacy and choose how they want their calls to appear to recipients. This control is especially useful for businesses and anyone seeking to manage how their calls are presented.
In this article, we’ll go over the main terms and the easy steps to control Calling Number Display (CND) with uConnected.
How to Enable Anonymous Calling
If you wish to hide your uConnected number from appearing on the recipient’s device, you can do this by activating CND Blocking on a per-call basis. This can be achieved by dialing a special prefix before the recipient’s number.
Steps to take:
- Dial 1831 – Before the recipient’s number, type in this prefix, which tells the network to hide your caller ID.
- Add the Recipient’s Number – Right after 1831, type in the full recipient’s phone number, without spaces.
For example, to call the number 03 1111 2222 without showing your uConnected number, dial 1831 03 1111 2222.
